New Voices Classroom Playwriting Residency
Where it all began! Since its inception in 2003, our New Voices playwriting program has introduced thousands of students from around our region to the basics of playwriting.Working collaboratively and individually, the goal is for every student to complete a ten-minute play. This nine-session classroom residency has inspired an annual New Voices Ten-Minute Play Contest, a New Voices Young Playwrights Festival – fully produced and performed by our illustrious Apprentice/Intern Company – and a published New Voices Anthology of student-written work.
