Artistic Director

The Artistic Director (AD) will lead the development and evolution of the artistic vision for Actors Theatre. In co-equal partnership with Managing Director, Kevin E. Moore, the AD will also lead the organization to ensure the theatre company’s success – as measured by its artistic excellence, its engagement and impact in the community, its fiscal and institutional health, and the creation of an environment in which the entire company can do its best work and achieve both personal and professional satisfaction. The AD will steer the creation and production of work that embodies broadly diverse voices, styles, and subjects, and that will continue to advance Actors Theatre’s reputation as the cradle of new American plays and one of the most admired theaters in the nation. The Artistic Director will take the lead in season planning, engaging in a broadly shared dialogue and a process that ensures transparency and collaboration in artistic choices.

Patron Services Associate (PSA) – Part-Time

The part-time PSA is responsible for enhancing patron theatre-going experience by extending the highest level of customer service handling inbound and outbound ticket sales; exchanges and questions or concerns regarding programming, dining, and parking.

Wardrobe Technician (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Working under the Wardrobe Manager, the Wardrobe Technician will be responsible for any laundry, clothing care, and costume maintenance during performances at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

In order to support all the productions in the three performance spaces at Actors Theatre of Louisville, this position will potentially work a schedule that could include mornings, afternoons, or evenings, over 6 days during the 7-day workweek, and will be asked to work between 20-25 hours

Lighting Technician (Overhire)

The Lighting Technician (Overhire) will be primarily responsible for assisting in the load-in, maintenance, and operation of theatrical lighting and atmospheric equipment for assigned productions and events produced at or by Actors Theatre.

Fall Wardrobe Assistant (Overhire)

This overhire Wardrobe Assistant will be providing wardrobe support for A DOLL’S HOUSE, PART 2, the second production in the 2018-19 Mainstage series, which will be performed in the Victory Jory Theatre.

Stitcher (Overhire)

This overhire Stitcher will work alongside staff Costume Department members during the build periods for the first two productions in the 2018-19 Mainstage series: THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT TIME and A DOLL’S HOUSE, PART 2, in addition to Actors Theatre of Louisville’s annual production of DRACULA.

If production time allows, this overhire Stitcher might also begin working on the second and third annual holiday productions produced at Actors Theatre of Louisville: A CHRISTMAS CAROL and THE SANTALAND DIARIES.
