Production Assistant (Seasonal)

The Production Assistant (PA) assists and supports the Stage Manager for a production. The PA oversees the Stage Management crew during performances and assigns duties as needed for the successful operation of the show. This position will also act as a Child Talent Guardian, the responsible adult in charge of supervising young cast members, for productions as assigned (please see attached file for detailed information).

Wardrobe Manager (Seasonal)

The Wardrobe Manager will be tasked with leading the Wardrobe Assistants, Wardrobe Technician, and any additional crewmembers to perform wardrobe duties for certain productions, depending on the production calendar. They will work under the Costume Director to assign responsibilities to the Wardrobe Assistants and Wardrobe Technician, delegating production assignments, with an eye towards an effectively run team (please see attached file for detailed information).

Wardrobe Technician (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Working under the Costume Director and the Wardrobe Manager, the Wardrobe Technician will be responsible for any laundry and costume maintenance needs required by the Actors Theatre of Louisville Wardrobe Department. This position will be expected to work primarily mornings, with the possibility of additional afternoon and/or evening hours at specific times in the season and will be asked to work between 20-30 hours, over 6 days, during a 7-day workweek. Wardrobe Assistant (Seasonal)

The Wardrobe Assistant will be responsible for wardrobe duties on productions assigned to them, based on wardrobe needs and the production calendar (please see attached file for detailed information).

Assistant Properties Master (Seasonal)

The Assistant Properties Master will assist the Props Director and Associate Props Master on assigned projects (please see attached file for detailed information).

First Hand (Seasonal)

The First Hand will assist in the pattern making, construction, fitting, alteration and refurbishment of costumes for all Actors’ productions and special events.

Pamela Brown Lighting Technician (Seasonal)

An integral part of a team of theatre electricians, the Pamela Brown Lighting Technician’s primary responsibility is assisting in the load-in, maintenance and operation of theatrical lighting and atmospheric equipment for all productions and events produced at or by Actors Theatre.  Further, the Pamela Brown Lighting Technician programs and operates the console for all productions and events in the Pamela Brown Auditorium and is responsible for the upkeep and stocking of all equipment and expendables in that venue as per established policies.

Sound Technician (Seasonal)

The Sound Technician operates the console for all productions and events in their assigned venue.  This position is also responsible for load in of each production under the direction of the Sound Engineer.

Costume Design Assistant (Seasonal)

Working under the supervision of the Costume Director, the Costume Design Assistant will facilitate the realization of costumes for assigned Actors Theatre productions, as designed by guest Costume Designers.  As assigned by the Costume Director, the Costume Design Assistant will coordinate and/or design costumes for the Professional Training Company productions.
