Local Children’s Auditions, SPRING 2013

Actors Theatre of Louisville is holding auditions on Saturday, April 13, 2013 for children age 6-13. These auditions are for roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL and DRACULA. Auditions will by appointment, which can be made beginning on April 8. Send an email including the child’s name and age, the parents name and a day-time phone number to: auditions@actorstheatre.org. You will be contacted with an appointment time and information about rehearsal and performance dates for these productions. No phone calls, please.

Because of time we will only see people with scheduled appointments.

PREPARATION Every child should prepare:

1. a one minute memorized monologue or poem
2. a short (45 second-1 minute) true-life story about themself or their family
3. an age appropriate joke
4. Bring to the audition a recent photo or snapshot with child’s name, exact height and weight on the back of it.

Rehearsals for DRACULA begin on Aug. 21, 2013. Performances begin Sept. 13 and end Oct. 31.We are looking specifically for two small girls about 6-7 years old. Rehearsals for A CHRISTMAS CAROL begin Nov. 1. The play opens Nov. 29 and ends Dec. 23. We are looking for a range of children ages 6-13.

Children are called to rehearse Tuesday-Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 6 PM, with an hour lunch break.There are specific times when children MUST expect to miss school. A complete schedule will be available at the auditions.
