Take a behind-the-scenes look at how the Actors Theatre Scenic Department brought the outdoors in for the 41st Humana Festival’s CRY IT OUT.

In Molly Smith Metzler’s Cry It Out, next door neighbors Jessie and Lina become fast friends as they navigate the trials and tribulations of new motherhood. They become fast friends over nap time coffees on Jessie’s patio. For the production, members of the Actors Theatre Scenic Department were tasked with creating the Long Island lawn where the play takes place. Here’s a step-by-step look at how Charge Scenic Artist Rachael Claxton, Scenic Artist Liv Joyce, and Scenic Art Apprentice Hannah Allgeier created Cry It Out’s very own patch of grass and brought a bit of the outdoors into the Bingham Theatre.CryitOut_Info
