ACTORS THEATRE OF LOUISVILLE HOLDS NON-UNION LATINX/HISPANIC FEMALE AUDITIONS FOR NEW VOICES FESTIVAL
Actors Theatre of Louisville will hold auditions for non-union Latinx/Hispanic females on Saturday, March 18 from 10 AM – 12 PM, in the fifth-floor rehearsal hall of Actors Theatre’s Alexander Speer Arts & Commerce building located at 315 W. Market St.
This audition is for Actors Theatre’s upcoming New Voices Festival production of No Hablo Español, written by Rosa Estevez (Fairdale High School) and directed by Betsy Anne Huggins. Auditions will be for the roles of “Carmen” (actresses ages 14-26) and “Mariana” (actresses ages 14-26).
The New Voices Festival is a festival of ten minute plays written by high school students and primarily performed by members of the Professional Training Company. Given the nature of the production, we are considering actresses in their teens through mid to late twenties.
All participants will be asked to audition with a piece of a scene from the show, to be provided upon arrival at the audition. There is no need to prepare for the audition beforehand. A reader will be provided in the audition room to perform the scene with you.
Auditions are by appointment only, which can be requested by completing the audition request form linked above. Appointments will be scheduled on a first-come basis. Notification of an audition slot will go out via email the week of March 13th. No phone calls please.
No Hablo Español begins rehearsal on April 12, 2017. Performances run April 24th – 26th, 2017. There will be one technical rehearsal and two day-time performances that will require those still in school to miss school (performance and rehearsal dates are listed in the schedule you will receive in your audition email).
No phone calls please. Please email any questions to email@example.com.
