Christmas Old Fashioned

You will need:
3 cranberries
Orange wedge
2 oz rye whiskey
1 oz cranberry simple syrup
2 dashes bitters
Sugar
Ice

Instructions:

  1. Rim glass with sugar
  2. Muddle the cranberries and orange wedge in a glass
  3. Add rye and simple syrup
  4. Top with bitters and stir
  5. Add ice

 

White Winter Mojito

You will need:
Juice of 1 lime
8 mint leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons white rum
1 tablespoon coconut rum
¼ cup canned coconut milk
Sparkling water for topping
Pomegranate arils for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a glass, muddle lime juice, sugar and mint leaves (until leaves have broken down).
  2. Fill the glass halfway with ice.
  3. Combine white rum, coconut rum and coconut milk in a blender. Pulse until smooth.
  4. Pour rum mixture over glass with ice and stir.
  5. Top with sparkling water, mint and pomegranate.

Frost Bite Mocktail (Non-alcoholic)

You will need:
1 oz lime juice
1 oz pineapple juice
2 oz white grape juice
Fresh mint leaves
Fresh blueberries
3 oz lemon-lime soda
Ice

Instructions:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, lime juice and pineapple juice. Mix.
  2. Add white grape juice, mint and blueberries. Crush some of the blueberries with the back of a spoon.
  3. Shake all ingredients well and strain into a large glass filled with ice.
  4. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with a few blueberries.

(To make this recipe alcoholic, substitute the lime juice for 1 oz coconut vodka and the blueberries not used for garnish with 1 oz of blue curacao.)
