Actors Theatre of Louisville employs actors under the LORT (League of Regional Theatres) contract with Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional actors and stage managers. The union determines the number of non-Equity actors in any production that the theatre may use. The priority in casting non-union roles is always with the Actors Theatre Apprentice Company because of the tremendous contribution of time and effort they give without compensation throughout an entire season.
Actors Theatre of Louisville is committed to non-traditional casting and encourages actors of all backgrounds to audition.
