Amy Wegener is the Literary Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In 21 years with Actors and four as Literary Manager at the Guthrie Theater, she has supported the curation of new work and has served as a dramaturg on more than 100 projects. Actors Theatre credits include ROMEO & JULIET: LOUISVILLE 2020, MACBETH, and LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, as well as Humana Festival premieres by Courtney Baron, Jorge Ignacio Cortiñas, Erin Courtney, Jordan Harrison, Lucas Hnath, Lisa Kron, Charles Mee, Molly Smith Metzler, Sarah Ruhl, Mark Schultz, Deborah Stein, and many others. Wegener wrote the adaptation for Actors Theatre’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL: A RADIO PLAY, and has co-edited 21 published anthologies. She holds degrees from Princeton and Northwestern.
