Jane Young is a multi-racial high schooler born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She is the daughter of a Black mother and a half Korean father. While she had past struggles with the mixed race experience, she is now following a journey of self love surrounding herself and her race. She believes cultural identity is a crucial component of connection.

She is a part of her school's Black Student Union, Divas (an organization empowering Black women), and Color Guard. She is working towards becoming an ASL interpreter.
