JESSICA KO (Constance) is thrilled to be making her Actors Theatre of Louisville debut, and to be reunited with Rosa Joshi who previously directed her at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival— in Henry V as Princess Katherine, Boy, and Montjoy; and in As You Like It as Rosalind. Other notable roles in her four seasons at OSF include playing the lead Dou Yi in the US Premiere of Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig’s Snow in Midsummer directed by Justin Audibert, and originating the role of the Shapeshifter in the World Premiere of Jiehae Park’s Hannah and the Dread Gazebo directed by Chay Yew. Other theatre credits: South Coast Repertory, Berkshire Theatre Group, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Trinity Repertory Company, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Flea Theater, and Brooklyn Bridge Park. As a playwright, she was in residency for Center Theatre Group’s 2021-22 Writer’s Workshop, which culminated in her original play being presented at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles. Her play— Sifting Through Ashes in a Zen Garden… But That’s Japanese Not Korean, So Never Mind.— was chosen as a semi-finalist for the 2023 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. She received her MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
