Morgan Anita Wood is thrilled to be making her Actors Theatre debut! She most recently returned to NYC after being on the road with multiple touring companies of “Hamilton” for five years. She originally understudied all three Schuyler sisters and stepped into playing the role of ‘Eliza’ full-time this past year. Apart from tour, Morgan has performed on stages all across North America including the Hollywood Bowl, the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the John W. Engeman Theatre. She recently was part of an Off-Broadway developmental workshop for the original musical, “Desert Rose”. Born and raised in Indianapolis and also a graduate of Otterbein University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Morgan is humbled to be back in the Midwest telling this important story. Endless thank you’s to God, Mom, Dad, J.T., Shelby, Nita, Surina, and so many more friends and family keeping her afloat. And to her team at Avalon Artists Group and MC Talent Management: Craig, Jacob and Jamie - couldn’t do any of it without you! And to the Loving’s, without whom I might not be here: for their unmoving determination and steadfast love for one another in the midst of unwavering oppression. And for reminding us all that love is love is love is love is love.
