Local Teen and Adult Auditions
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Auditions for Non-Equity adult actors (ages 13 and older) will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from noon- 5 PM EST in the fifth-floor rehearsal hall of Actors Theatre’s administration building at 315 W. Market St.
The auditions are for introductory purposes and no specific roles are being cast at this time. Actors must prepare a one-minute memorized monologue. The material may be taken from poetry, short stories, essays or plays. All actors must bring a recent snapshot or photograph.
Auditions are made by appointment and can be scheduled starting on Monday, March 28th, 2016 by emailing your full name and phone number to email@example.com. Audition space is limited and appointments will be given until all appointments have been filled. No appointments will be made prior to March 28th, 2016.
Actors Theatre of Louisville employs actors under the LORT (League of Regional Theatres) contract with Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional actors and stage managers. The union determines the number of non-Equity actors in any production. The priority in casting non-union roles is always with the Actors Theatre Apprentice Company because of the tremendous contribution of time and effort they give without compensation throughout an entire season.
