Props Carpenter Artisan (Seasonal)

The Props Carpenter Artisan is responsible for completing projects having to do with the construction, restoration, or modification of furniture, set dressing, and hand props built of wood, steel, or other materials. Projects involving electronics, special effects, sculpture and molding & casting are also duties of this position.

Director, Professional Training Company (PTC)

The PTC Director is a member of the Theatre’s senior leadership team, reporting to the Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director. This position organizes and oversees the daily operations, production season and long-term development for 40+ pre-professional apprentices in a nine-month intensive training program. They directly mentor and teach 20 acting apprentices and oversee the mentorship and education plans for the production and administrative apprentices. All programming, curriculum and general operations must align and support Actors Theatre’s mission, vision, and core values and be developed with the artistic staff.

This is not a conservatory-style program but is considered to be one of the best practical training programs in the country by offering total immersion into the world of a major American regional theatre with a unique combination of training, observation and networking.

Accounting Assistant (Part-Time)

The Accounting Assistant (part-time) will handle data entry and file maintenance of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other aspects of the accounting office of a major resident theatre company. The job will require 15 to 25 hours per week based upon the needs of the organization.

Grants Manager

The Grants Manager works with the Director of Community Partnerships to research, apply and write grants and proposals for government agencies, private foundations and corporate funders. Responsible for prioritizing and meeting application and reporting deadlines. This position works with the Director of Development, Senior Staff and Artistic leadership to identify projects and needs within the organization to create opportunities for new funding streams.

Professional Training Company Apprenticeships

Actors Theatre’s distinguished training program offers a variety of professional apprenticeships in acting, artistic, production, and administrative departments. Full-time season apprenticeships offer in-depth, hands-on experience, and are ideal for college graduates seeking transition from academia to the professional theatre or for individuals considering a career change.
